Our History

Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church in Lafayette, Tennessee was  organized in 1849.

Liberty Baptist Church in  Macon County, Tennessee organized in 1822.

Hillsdale Baptist Church in Macon County, Tennessee organized in 1817.

Dixon Creek Baptist Church in Trousdale County, Tennessee organized in 1801.

El Bethel in Sumner County, Tennessee organized in 1796.

New Bethel Baptist Church in Goodletsville, Tennessee organized by Joshua White  in 1794.

Red River Baptist Church in Montgomery County, Tennessee  organized by the Elkhorn Baptist Association by Ambrose Dudley from Bryan’s Station Baptist Chruch and John Taylor from Clear Creek Baptist Church in 1791.  No one knows for sure which Church if either “extended an arm”.  Both Churches trace back through the South Elkhorn Church for their origin.

Clear Creek Baptist Church in Fayette County, Lexington, Kentucky organized by Lewis Craig, William Hickman. George Smith and James Garrard in 1785 and Bryan’s Station Baptist Church in Fayette County, Lexington, Kentucky organized by Ambrose Dudley and Lewis Craig in 1786.

South Elkhorn Church in Fayette County, Lexington, Kentucky organized by Lewis Craig in 1783.

Gilbert’s Creek Church  in Garrard County, Kentucky organized by  Lewis Craig  in 1781.

Upper Spotsylvania Church in  Spotsylvania County, Virginia organized by Lewis Craig, Samuel Harris, and Dutton Lane in 1767.

Dan River Baptist Church  in Halifax, Pittsylvania County, Virginia organized by Dutton Lane  in 1760.

Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Granville County, North Carolina  was organiged approximately  in 1754.

Sandy Creek Church in Liberty, North Carolina  organized by Shubal Stearns, and Daniel Marshall in 1755.

Opekon Church in Berkeley County, Virginia  organized by David Thomas in 1751.

Great Valley Baptist Church in Chester County, Pennsylvania  organized by Hugh David  in 1711.

Rhydwilim Church in Wales, England  organized by William Prichard, and Thomas Watkins  in 1667.

Olchon Church in Wales, England  organized by Joshua Thomas in 1633.

Hill Cliffe Baptist Church in Wales, England organized by Aaron Arlington in 987.

Lima Piedmont Church in Wales, England organized by Balcolao  in 812.

Timto Church in Asia Minor (Turkey) organized by Archer Flavin in 738.

Darethea Church in Asia Minor (Turkey) organized by Adromicus in 671.

Pontifossi Church in France organized by Tellestman in 398.

Turan Church in Turan, Italy organized by Tertullian in 237.

Partus Church at Foot of Tiber River, Rome, Italy organized by Polycarp in 150.

Church at Ephesus in Ephesus, Turkey was organized by Paul of Tarsus approximately between 56 and 57 A.D.

Church at Antioch in Antioch, Syria was organized by  Barnabus in 45 A.D.

Church at Jerusalem in  Jerusalem, Israel was organized by Jesus Christ Approx. 29
